AI assistant guide (MCP)

You can use Squads from AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. Ask something like “Draw Spain's starting line-up in the 2010 World Cup final”, and the assistant builds the formation or an animated play and returns a Squads share link. It is free, and no Squads account is needed.

https://squads.xxox-xxox-xxox.jp/mcp

This is the Squads MCP server (Streamable HTTP, no authentication).

What it can do

Results come back as a share link and a summary of where each player stands. In hosts that support MCP Apps (Claude, ChatGPT and others), the board is shown in the chat, and plays can be played back and stepped through. Open the share link to keep editing in the Squads app and export an image or a video (desktop).

Use it in Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Enter a name (e.g. Squads) and the URL https://squads.xxox-xxox-xxox.jp/mcp, then add it. No authentication settings are needed.
  3. Make sure the connector is enabled in your chat, and ask away.

Use it in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, you can add an MCP server after turning on developer mode in the settings (paid plans). Turn on developer mode in the advanced settings under Settings → Apps, create an app, and enter the URL https://squads.xxox-xxox-xxox.jp/mcp (no authentication). Developer mode is a beta feature, so screen names and eligible plans may change.

Other MCP clients

Any MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP can use the URL above. The server keeps no sessions (stateless), so each request stands on its own.

Squads is also listed on Smithery.

Example prompts

Check the summary (positions, left/right, position names). If something is off, tell the assistant — “left and right are swapped”, “number 10 plays behind the striker” — and it will fix and redraw it.
